Each year in February, the Foothill Symphonic Winds and the 8th Grade band musicians from
Blach Intermediate School get together for a music workshop.  The combined bands read through
two pieces that the Blach Band is preparing for a concert or competition.  FSW Director David Adams
conducts the ensemble and offers performance tips.  The Blach musicians are invited to with the FSW
musicians as they perform pieces they are rehearsing for their March concert.  The theme of the
workshop is that music performance can be for a lifetime.
